Client service terms (outline)

Last updated: 13 October 2026. This is an outline template, not legal advice. Each project is governed by the written quote we send and the final version of these terms agreed with the client. If anything in a written quote conflicts with this outline, the quote applies.

1. Who we are

Services are provided by Web Designer Limited (company number 15002899, registered in England and Wales; registered office: 119a Flat 2 Uxbridge Road, London W7 3ST), trading as Lead Generation Website.

2. Scope

We design, write, build and publish the landing page or website described in your written quote, which sets out the pages, areas, revisions, optional articles and any ongoing services. Work outside that scope is quoted separately.

3. Your responsibilities

  • Accuracy of claims. You are responsible for checking and confirming that everything said about your business is true and not misleading, including services, prices, experience, reviews, accreditations, trade body memberships, licences, registrations (for example Gas Safe or similar schemes) and insurance cover. We will publish such claims only once you confirm them.
  • Licensing and compliance. You are responsible for holding any licences, registrations and insurance your trade requires, and for handling enquiries you receive in line with data protection law.
  • Materials. You confirm you have the right to use any logos, photos and text you supply.
  • Access. You provide timely access to your domain's DNS settings and the information we need.
  • Domain. The domain is registered to you and you pay its renewals.

4. Approval and publication

We share a private preview. Nothing is published until you approve it. After approval, corrections to agreed content may be treated as new work.

5. Hosting (optional)

Hosting with us is optional. If you choose it, we host your site on Cloudflare's free plan for static sites, under Cloudflare's own terms, which may change, and we do not charge for hosting unless your quote says otherwise. Alternatively, we hand over the site files and, if agreed, deploy them to hosting you control; you are then responsible for that hosting and its costs. Enquiry forms use a third-party form service (currently FormSubmit). We are not responsible for outages or changes by these providers, but we will help you move to an alternative if one becomes necessary.

6. No guarantee of results

We follow published search engine guidance and good practice, but we do not and cannot guarantee rankings, traffic, enquiries or revenue.

7. Fees and payment

Fees, payment stages and any ongoing charges are set out in your written quote.

8. Cancellation

Either party may end ongoing services (such as article publishing or updates) on written notice as set out in your quote. Fees for work already completed remain payable. If you are a consumer, you may have additional statutory cancellation rights.

9. Intellectual property

Once fees for the build are paid in full, you own the copy written specifically for your site and receive a licence to use the site's design and code for your business. We keep ownership of our general templates, tools and know-how. Third-party materials, such as Pexels photos, are used under their own licences. Unless you ask us not to, we may show screenshots of your site, without links, as examples of our work.

10. Liability

Our total liability to you under any project is limited to [liability cap to be agreed, for example the fees paid for that project]. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or loss of profit, business or opportunity. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

11. Data protection

Where we handle enquiry data on your behalf, we act as your processor and will agree appropriate data processing terms with you.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
